Pricing

RealityServer is licensed by the number of servers you require. There are no per-user or per-developer charges to pay. All prices below are in US Dollars and are for software licensing only. Contact us if you would like to know more.

On-premises (Bring Your Own Server)

We offer both perpetual licensing (with a maintenance option for upgrades) on the left below and hourly licensing options on the right. You can choose one or the other or a combination of each depending on your requirements. RealityServer is software, not a service, so you’ll need to source your own hardware (or use a cloud service, see further down). See Requirements for further details on supported GPUs.

Recommended Cloud Providers

You can install RealityServer on cloud servers provided by popular vendors such as Nimbix, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and Google Compute Cloud or any vendor that provides NVIDIA GPU hardware.  We have both conventional and Cloud (hourly) licensing options available. For a comprehensive overview of RealityServer performance on each provider see our Iray Benchmarks page.

Nimbix

The Nimbix Material Compute Platform is a great place to host your RealityServer application. Nimbix provides pre-configured RealityServer options which you can start immediately and include all of the software and licensing you need. If you prefer you can also build your own solution combining stand-alone RealityServer licenses and Nimbix hardware services (you can then access the volume discounts). Nimbix services are built on containers rather than virtual machines so they are fast to start and have close to bare metal performance. Nimbix offers a wide range of modern NVIDIA GPU hardware, including the DGX-1 and other very high performance multi-GPU options.

For detailed usage instructions see our RealityServer on Nimbix article.

Amazon Web Services

Amazon Web Services is probably be best known provider and can also be used to host your RealityServer application in the cloud. AWS now offers a wide range of GPU hardware in many configurations. Note that AWS pricing varies by region, so be sure to check your specific location. Please refer to the AWS EC2 Pricing page for more details. Currently there is no pre-configured offering for RealityServer on AWS so you will need to install it yourself and use our cloud licensing option or remotely access your own license server. If you already use AWS for other parts of your application, running RealityServer on the same platform can make integration much simpler.

For detailed instructions see our RealityServer on AWS article.

Microsoft Azure

Microsoft Azure now provide GPU servers which can host your RealityServer application in the cloud. Note that Azure pricing varies by region, so be sure to check your specific location. Please refer to the Azure pricing page for more details. If you are already using other Microsoft services, running your RealityServer instances on Azure can make integration much simpler. Currently there is no pre-configured offering for RealityServer on Azure so you will need to install it yourself and use our cloud licensing option or remotely access your own license server.

We don’t have a detailed guide for using RealityServer on Azure just yet but some of our customers have already got it running.

Google Compute Platform

The Google Compute Platform now offers high end GPU hardware which is great for hosting RealityServer applications. If you are already using Google Cloud Platform for other parts of your application that can make integration with RealityServer much simpler. A slightly different approach is used where you attach specific GPU types to your instances. This allows you to minimise spend on CPU resources which RealityServer does not heavily exploit and focus on GPU. Currently there is no pre-configured offering for RealityServer on Google Cloud Platform so you will need to install it yourself and use our cloud licensing option or remotely access your own license server.

We don’t have a detailed guide for using RealityServer on Google Compute Platform just yet but some of our customers have already got it running.

Academic Pricing

For approved academic institutions and staff, strictly for non-commercial use only, an academic discount of 50% on the standard pricing is offered. Please note that Cloud based licensing and volume discounts are not available under academic pricing. Please contact migenius to learn more about academic pricing options.
